The Challenge
Turning a Doctor’s Vision Into a Comrehensive Medical Marketplace
WeDo was founded by a doctor with a bold idea: one platform where anyone can buy and rent, medical equipment and supplies, compare trusted vendors and consult a doctor. Building that from scratch meant solving problems most e-commerce sites never face.
WeDo needed more than an online store. It needed a scalable healthcare marketplace that makes buying medical supplies as simple, trusted and fast as everyday online shopping.
- A massive, complex catalogue: Thousands of products, from ICU beds and dialysis equipment to glucometers, PPE and wellness items, had to be organised so anyone could find what they need in seconds.
- Many vendors, one experience: Multiple vendors selling the same products needed one seamless platform, where buyers can compare price, brand and features side by side.
- Serving very different customers: Families, caregivers, doctors, clinics and hospitals each shop differently, and the platform had to work for all of them.
- Trust in a high-stakes category: In healthcare, buyers need confidence in sellers, products and payments before they spend a single rupee.
- Built to grow beyond buying: The platform had to launch with buying, while being ready for rentals, doctor consultations, bulk orders and a mobile app.
Our Approach
Built From Scratch to Simplify Healthcare Shopping
We designed and developed WeDo from the ground up as a multi-vendor healthcare marketplace. Before building anything, we mapped how families, caregivers and healthcare professionals search for medical products, compare options and decide who to trust. Every design and development decision then focused on three things: making a huge catalogue easy to navigate, making vendors easy to compare and making every purchase feel safe. We also built the platform in a modular way, so new services like rentals, consultations and a mobile app can be added without rebuilding.
